Nope!  All you need is valid U.S. or State or International drivers license. The Slingshot is classified as an Auto-Cycle, so no special license is needed in Florida.

No. Florida State Law does not require a helmet, but we do have helmets available for free. We advise wearing proper eyewear as well. The Slingshot does have a half clear windshield.

There is a required credit/debit card authorization, which is $500. This is not a charge - it will appear on your credit card as a hold/unprocessed transaction. authorization. When the Slingshot is brought back without damage, the authorization will release and disappear from your credit card. If you are paying by debit card, please be aware that this authorization will debit your bank account by $1,000.

Our vehicles are available to drivers 25 and older. All renters are required to use our insurance, provided by our partner MBA Insurance . Insurance costs $15 per day, which you will register online for directly with MBA insurance. All drivers and riders are required to sign our liability waiver and rental agreement.

Our Cancellation Policy:

‍Cancellations must be submitted 72 hours prior to pickup time via phone or e-mail and there will be no charge for this. Your $500 pre-authorization hold will be released and you will not be charged.

Cancellations made within the 72 hours window are subject to the full rental period charge per the rental booking. If the cancellation is made within 24 hours of your pick-up, the full rental period charge plus a cancellation fee of $30.00 will apply.

‍If you do not show up to rent the vehicle or if cancellation is made after the pick-up time, you must pay for the full rental period at the rental rate per your reservation. Any early returns may be a subject to a full charge as per reservation.

‍What if I'm late returning it?

‍The vehicle will be held for up to 15 minutes after the return time. Beyond the 15 min. grace period, late returns are $100 per hour. After 15 min., we will round up to the nearest hour to calculate the late fee. Please note all of the extra charges and applicable fees will be charged on renter's credit card on file.

‍We accept all US major credit and debit cards including: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, JCB, PayPal, Visa Checkout, Apple Pay, and Chase Pay.

‍If you are using a debit card, please be advised the $500 pre-authorization will reduce your bank account balance by $500 at the time of booking. When the Slingshot is returned, the transaction will be reversed.

If booked with a credit card (we recommend), the $500 pre-authorization is never processed as a transaction; rather just a hold that releases when the Slingshot is returned.
